Developers must comply with the LINE Developers Agreement as well as the following by applying for the use of LINE Corp.’s Software Development Kit and Application Programming Interface (hereinafter referred to as “Platform”).

・Laws and regulations related to personal information must be abided by.

・Privacy policies for all services using the platform (hereinafter referred to as “Services”) must be created.

・Development and operation must be conducted with consideration of privacy and in accordance with the privacy principles below.

　・ The purposes of use of collected user information will be clearly stated.

　・ All information to be collected will be made known to users, and their permission will be acquired for the collection, usage, and disclosure of any user information.

　・ User information will only be used and disclosed for the purposes stated in the purposes of use, except with user permission or when stipulated by law. User information will only be stored for the period necessary to achieve the purposes of use.

　・Best efforts will be made to ensure that user information is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.

　・User information will be protected using appropriate safety control measures.

　・Best efforts will be made to make the privacy policy and practices for the handling of user information as transparent and comprehensive as possible.

　・Users will be able to check their own information or edit it when necessary at any time.

　・Best efforts will be made to achieve accountability to users at any time. Users will be able to express their opinions regarding these principles and compliance with the privacy policy at any time.

・The privacy policy shall be made viewable to users at any time before or after they start to use the Service.

・Information provided by LINE Corp. shall be protected appropriately against unauthorized access and use. Protective measures include the implementation of security training, signing of non-disclosure agreements between the employees and the company, establishment of rules for the handling of confidential and personal information, internal reviews, implementation of third-party reviews, establishment of incident response procedures, implementation of monitoring for unauthorized access, physical access control, and more. The greatest effort possible will be made to provide appropriate protection to the users.

・User information provided by LINE Corp. (referring to LINE user information such as LINE profile name, icon image, user identifier, and status message) will not be stored for more than 24 hours after their acquisition with the exception of the user identifier.

・LINE Corp.’s API usage permissions are granted on per-Service basis. User information acquired from LINE Corp. using the API will not be used in applications other than the one the permission has been granted for.

・User information provided by LINE Corp. will not be provided to third parties unless stipulated by laws or regulations.

・When provisioning information provided by LINE to third parties, the provisioned third parties will assume the same obligations as the developer. The developer will be held responsible for any violations made by the provisioned third parties.

・Information registered to LINE cannot be acquired from developers, except in the case of acquisition using the API.

・A feature to unlink from LINE (a feature to log out from LINE) and to delete the account will be provided.

・When the use of the platform is terminated or the user deletes his/her account, all information provided by LINE Corp. will be deleted. A certificate of disposal will be submitted if so requested by LINE Corp. 

・System development will be conducted with security in mind.

・The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry’s “System Management Standards” or similar standards will be fulfilled.

・The developer will acknowledge that LINE Corp. may audit the Service to check for safety or any possible violations.

・Prompt action will be taken if LINE Corp. requests for improvements to be made to the Service. If action cannot be taken, the reason will be reported.

・Security incidents such as the leakage of personal information and other incidents related to the Service will be reported promptly to LINE Corp. Appropriate investigations, actions, and preventive measures for recurrence must be carried out and reported.

・LINE Corp. may change these compliance rules. The developer agrees to be deemed to have provided their consent to their changes by continuing to use the Platform.
