AI Recommender System (AiRS) is an artificial intelligence-based recommendation system developed independently by NAVER.
AiRS is built upon two core technologies:
"Collaborative Filtering," and a neural network based "Quality Model."
Collaborative Filtering recommends news articles that you would be interested in
by grouping readers with similar interests and analyzing their reading habits.
Through this process, you will be shown news articles that are popular among readers with similar interests.
Quality Model is powered by a neural network to offer informative and satisfactory articles
based on two factors: article characteristics and feedback.
First, AiRS will identify informative articles by analyzing their titles, contents, images, bylines, posting times, and other characteristics.
Then, through feedback, it will curate articles that readers found to be satisfactory by analyzing their view counts and reading time.
For example, AiRS will make a reading time prediction for an article and adjust its recommendation based on the actual reading time.
